Abstrakt EN: The aim of this paper is to present the very first results concerning our development of a "heart simulator" in the frame of the ICEMA2 (Images of Cardiac Electro-Mechanical Activity) project. For this purpose a special constitutive law describing behaviour of heart muscle fibres, and hence the active force generation, has been developed, based on the sliding cross-bridge theory. The fibres contract in reaction to the activation parameter related to calcium concentration within the muscle cells.The muscle tissue itself is supposed to be a composite material of an amorphous matrix, passive connective fibres and active muscle fibres. It is described by the model developed by Rohan and Cimrman. This model is enriched by a simple model of heart valves to enable simulations of one or several heart cycles. We demonstrate this on a cylindrical model of left ventricle.
