Abstrakt CZ: Prestressed frames are mainly used with hydraulic presses in forming machines frame’s design. This design solution is used mainly for an extrusion and forging presses. Higher production cost of prestressed frames is a result of comparison of prestressed and non-prestressed frames. This negative attribute is compensated by a higher variability of individual frame’s properties and chiefly by better transient stability of machine. Relevance of a transient stability follows increase demand of operating properties. There are a few design approaches how to design a prestressed frame in forming machine’s design. Properties of individual variants are different. Main differences are in production, assembling and maintenance of frames.
