Abstrakt CZ: Different technologies of mechanical surface treatment can eliminate defects caused during the production of the tool. Tool is after common sharpening full of frays. If thin layer is deposited on this surface, problems may arise during machining, because thin layer may be destroyed and the system looses its qualities. Therefore the attention is paid to the substrate surface modification prior to thin layer deposition, to ensure better qualities of the system thin layer – substrate, longer lifetime and higher quality of machined surface.
