This report deals with determination of thermal, mechanical and friction properties of the brake disk protective coating and base material. It covers analyses of the coating microstructure and composition, surface analysis, metallography, porosity and density determination. Thermal properties measurements provide heat capacity, thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and thermal expansivity values and its temperature dependence. Mechanical properties determinations provide elasticity modulus, poisson number and residual stress. Results of friction and wear analyses of the coating are appended.
