|Abstrakt EN:||Nanocomposites based on thermoplastic potato starch with a different degree of cationization, and sodium montmorillonite (CLOISITE Na?) were prepared. Based on both mechanical properties and structure of nanocomposites, the influence of ageing has been determined for samples 3 weeks/3 months old. It was proved that cationization of the starch matrix lowers the tensile strength and the modulus. On the contrary, 3 months-aged thermoplastic starch itself, and the nanocomposite based on thermoplastic starch with a low cationization degree exhibit expressively better mechanical properties compared with samples 3 weeks old only. The clay nanofiller generally increases the strength of the material even in low concentrations. The nanocomposite structure has been proved by the XRD and TEM measurements.|
