Abstrakt EN: The partial discharge (PD) behaviour of basic test arrange-ments for corona discharges or other discharge sources seems to be well known from the physical point of view. On the other hand the measurement results and, in the same manner, their identification and interpretation can be differ-ent depending on the measurement or evaluation condi-tions. Therefore some typical PD basic arrangements representing corona discharges like needle-plane, needle-plane with insulating sheet and needle-sphere as well as a gliding discharge set and several prepared generator bars were investigated. The PD measurement was performed with a standardized measuring circuit according to the IEC standard 20670 but under different measurement conditions like frequency range. Additionally, the standardized PD quantities as the apparent charge q, the repetition rate n respectively the phase angle of PD pulses ? related to the test voltage were compared with the results of unconventional method Pulse- Sequence- Analyzing (PSA). It was shown, that each method has some advantages or disadvantages and the best way of evaluation is the combination of different methods. At the same time some problems of miss- interpretation are discussed. The paper concludes with some future investigations concerning the improved interpretation of PD measurement results.
