Abstrakt EN: Optimization of an actuator with permanent-magnet core is performed, the objective function being the relation between the magnetic force and volume of the field coil that should reach (on the prescribed conditions) its maximum. The computations are carried out numerically by the professional code COMSOL Multiphysics supplemented with a lot of own scripts and procedures. The methodology is illustrated by an example.
