Abstrakt EN: Spatial data harmonization represents one of the key task of contemporary geomatics and geoinformatics. The huge number of data sets and their heterogeneity (e.g. various coordinate systems, data models, terminologies, metadata profiles etc.) mean the main reason. There are many ways how to harmonize different data sets. This paper introduces the method of spatial data harmonization based on domain ontology. The ontology describes many attributes of spatial data. After processing of ontology the new information (focused on harmonization sub-processes) are derived. These pieces of information could be processed by different tools such as ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) software, databases or XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation) styles.
