|Abstrakt EN:||The objective of the present study was to evaluate mechanical properties of TiAlSiN coatings deposited on cold working tool steels VANADIS 4 and SVERKER 21. Coatings were prepared by cathodic arc plasma deposition (CAPD) with different deposition parameters. One of the most important characterizations of coating-substrate system is adhesion and scratch test is one of the most used methods for adhesion testing. We investigated adhesive properties of four TiAlSiN coatings, one commercially used and three “laboratory” coatings. Optical and scanning electron microscopy has been used to evaluate the microstructure of the coating.|
