Abstrakt EN: Present goal of humans is to live in a safe space. In agreement with the EU and UN proclamations and the professional knowledge, there is necessary, for conservation and sustainable development of the human society, to create the safe territory, safe community, safe state, safe Europe and safe world. To reach this aim the safety management based on the qualified negotiation (trade-off) with risks would be introduced step by step into practice and it would be implemented by safety engineering disciplines ensuring the safety of the system of systems. The present publication deals with seismic safety mainly connected with important buildings and infrastructures that human need for ensuring the quality life, and that are threaten by earthquakes and similar phenomena. Because, the top seismic safety is related to nuclear facilities, especially to nuclear power plants (hereafter, the abbreviation ?NPP? is often used), the attention is concentrated to them. The presented knowledge is accompanied by the data, characteristics, references and examples that are mostly from Central Europe in which authors have been solving problems since 70s of last century and they have been working for nuclear facilities? safety.
