|Abstrakt EN:||Tariqa (or Islamic mystical order) Naqshbandiyya Haqqaniyya is relatively new branch of very old and widespread tariqa Naqshbandiyya. It came into being in the year 1973 and it is still closely connected with its founder, Great shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani. This tariqa has strong transnational character and it has spread successfully also in the West. The paper deals with practice of zikr by members of Haqqaniyya. First, this relatively new tariqa will be briefly introduced. Second, main characteristics of zikr in the context of broader tradition of Naqshbandiyya as well as in specific context of Haqqaniyya will be concisely presented. Based on fieldwork, in key part of the paper the differences in how zikr is practiced in the center of tariqa (Lefke, Northern Cyprus) and in selected communities in Spain will be shown and analyzed. These differences clearly show how religious rituals may be transformed in new environments due to various reasons. Attention is also paid to the question what zikr means to different members of tariqa, how they interpret its meaning or purpose and what importance it has comparing to other religious obligations they need to perform.|
