|Abstrakt EN:||Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) is very young methodological approach and its principle is very simple: we could represent social actor by agent – short computer program which describes goals, decisions and reactions of social actor. Then we are able to create model of environment where takes place some social process we would like observe/ research. Then we transfer reasonable amount (as big as studied process contains in reality or as our computer allows us) of agents into this model of environment. Then we run our agents simultaneously – each agent is computer program, decisions and actions of other agents/programs are inputs for his own decisions and actions. By doing all of this we could simulate inside our computer processes which are elusive as whole in the reality by traditional research methods. ABM serve us as tool for observation of such an elusive processes. Paper discusses epistemological limits of such a methodological approach. And also delimits reasonable usage of ABM in the communication research.|
