Abstrakt EN: The paper deals with the simulation of 3D coolant flow in a fuel assembly of the reactor VVER 1000 of the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. Because of a very complex geometry and a large computational domain, it is a very computationally-demanding task. With this in mind, some measure of simplification is inevitable. The mathematical model of 3D coolant flow is solved using in-house software based on the lattice Bolzmann method.
