Abstrakt EN: The film "The Miracle of Berlin", from 2008 under the direction of Ronald Suso Richter, has the theme of the last days of the GDR and the fall of the Berlin Wall. On the basis of a family history in East Berlin, from the point of view of a youthful protagonist, the events that are now to be described as a "standard topic" in the context of the "Landeskunde" and "DaF" In contrast to other frequently used films, the situation surrounding the fall of the Wall and the end of the GDR is shown from several perspectives. And precisely in this is the advantage of this film is a differentiated and therefore perhaps also more true to the truth of the recent history of Germany. My contribution is the way in which the film can be used in the field of rural studies and recent history of Germany, and shows the potential for young protagonists as identifiers for young German teachers. To the film "The miracle of Berlin" so far, in contrast to other films in this subject area, there are hardly any materials for teaching. The film offers access to the history of the country, the history and the world of the young people, as well as emotions that can be used in the classroom.
