|Abstrakt EN:||The paper focused on how relationships between men and women and relationships between generations were (trans)formed in a community of Bulgarian Czechs in the village of Voyvodovo in the course of the 20th century. We use fieldwork data based mainly on interviews, participant observation and the genealogical method, and archive materials. Our contribution explored the ways in which the inheritance practice of Bulgarian Czechs changed due to original cultural tradition, migrations, their minority status in Bulgaria, religious affiliation and historic events of the 20th century. We depart from Jack Goody´s thesis that inheritance strategies express not people´s relations to property, but relationships between people through the property. We will explore the influence of the outside pressures on the shared cultural concepts, performed strategies and identity of the local community. We will focus on gender relations, relationships between the old and the young, inheritance practice, or the attitudes of the Czech minority towards their Bulgarian neighbours. The topic was analysed in relation to the Bulgarian population of the north-west part of the country and contrasted with the changes that took place after the resettlement of the Czech to Czechoslovakia in the 1950s.|
