|Abstrakt EN:||Recently, support function representation of hypersurfaces was introduced into CAGD. This representation is very useful in computation of convolutions of hypersurfaces. However, for a given hypersurface (represented parametrically or implicitly) it is not always possible to represent it via support function. In this talk we introduce the so-called implicit support function (ISF) representation which removes this main disadvantage. We show how ISF representation can be used in computation of rational convolutions of hypersurfaces, i.e., how to identify that the convolution is rational and how to find its rational parameterization. One of the possible applications is the identification of PH curves and PN surfaces and computation of their PH/PN parameterizations.|
