Abstrakt EN: The goal of this study is to develop a biomechanical knee joint menisci model in a finite element code. The knee joint model is based on the data obtained in the form of the slices of the human knee joint and on the anatomy research. It is optimized to agree with the stability condition. The material properties of particular tissues are mainly based on literature review. Only the menisci model has the material properties based on a simple experiment. The menisci model is validated. The model is created for the use in the computational system PAM developed by ESI Group, S.A.
