Upper Secondary School Teacher Training in Chemistry

In the course of study, students become familiar with the basics of chemistry, with the contemporary chemistry issues and didactics, as well as with the theory. They also learn more about specific teaching methods and educational programmes and the main focus is on subject-didactic issues.

In the course of study, students participate in theoretical and practical courses, focused primarily on professional chemistry and subject didactics. Subjects focused on subject didactics and pedagogical-psychological propaedeutics are included in the study plan. The programme includes teaching practice too.

Graduates find employment mainly as teachers of chemistry at high schools.
