Lower Secondary School Teacher Training in the Mathematics

The aim of this study programme is to educate experts in mathematics who can deal with any numerical operation. Students become familiar with primary school mathematics and focus on other topics, such as the Mathematics Olympiad. They gain knowledge of various teaching methods and learn how to use information technologies.

In the course of study, students focus on both theoretical and practical courses. Students learn how to use special mathematical software programs and modern teaching methods and research procedures. Part of this study programme is a block of courses focused on teaching methods in the field and pedagogical-psychological topics. The programme also includes practical training.

Graduates find employment mainly as teachers of mathematics at elementary schools.
