Abstrakt EN: The objective of the prospective (future – aimed) study is to appoint a new radiographic method, that comes from identification of defined points on the antero-posterior (AP) x-ray picture of pelvis. Authors have already published original radiographic method for definition of axial rotation of pelvis using the location of oss sacrum, the shadow of the pelvis inlet and the location of symphysis. Not all the x-ray pictures show whole pelvis, making impossible to identify location of symphysis, when original method is used. Most of x – ray pictures show scoops of hip bones and for this reason the study has aimed to find geometric functioning of scoops display during axial rotation of pelvis. New original radiographic method is based on identification of shadows of scoops of the hip bones. It allows to find out the numerical value of axial rotation of the pelvis following simple principle of direct measuring the required angle by protractor. No special aids are needed, axial rotation of pelvis is possible to measure using standard or digital x - ray picture. Described method is easy to convert into a computer program, where 2 suitable vectors are designed for this purpose and the required angle is figured out automatically using a given schema. This simple method can be used to assess rotation of pelvis exploiting x- rays pictures in many scientific fields (for example anthropology, biomechanics, radiography, children and adult orthopaedics, orthopaedic-prosthetics, spine surgery, etc.) for many different purposes.
