Teaching of Physics at Secondary Schools

Students gain knowledge of advanced physical theories and scientific methods with respect to the modern approach to teaching physics at secondary schools. They learn how to analyse and discuss various topics related to physics and are able to use appropriate teaching methods to explain them to their students. Students can choose a complementary subject, either Mathematics or Computer Science.

What will I learn

The curriculum consists of subjects from physics and its methodology, of subjects from the selected complementary subject and its methodology, as well as of subjects from pedagogy, psychology, general didactics and teaching practice. The Faculty of Applied Sciences is focused on natural sciences and technology and, therefore, graduates are educated to become teachers who are able to explain physics in the broad context of all its applications.

Graduates possess professional skills that enable them to become teachers of physics at secondary schools or colleges.
