Lower Secondary School Teacher Training in the Informatics

This study programme is focused on computer science, both in terms of history and modern times. Students focus on didactic issues, specific teaching methods and educational programmes. They gain in-depth knowledge of programs and technical equipment of computers and computer systems, and understand systems theory, management and simulation and their application in education.

In the course of study, students become familiar with numerical methods, e-learning and copyright law. They learn how to analyse the possibilities of using multimedia computers for teaching and learn how to create webpages for the needs of the school environment. They understand self-evaluation and can find solutions for application in school.

Graduates find employment mainly as teachers of computer science at elementary schools. They can also find employment in IT companies.
