Automatic Control and Robotics

This specialization of the Cybernetics and Control Engineering programme will deepen your theoretical and practical knowledge with application potential that spans technical and non-technical fields. You will become familiar with a range of automatic control and decision-making systems. You will be able to solve complex problems using a systems approach using the latest methods and tools. During your studies you will learn to understand and use signal processing, system identification, mathematical modelling and simulation. You will become an expert in the design methods of process control systems, machines, robots and mechatronic systems. You will also learn to decompose complex technical and non-technical processes while developing mathematical models of them using experimental identification or mathematical modelling based on the laws of nature.

Your studies will prepare you either for direct entry into practice, where you will use a systematic approach to problem solving and apply your ability to obtain information and use it for decision-making and control, or for continuing your studies in doctoral programmes of similar focus at ZČU and at other universities in the Czech Republic or abroad.
