Chemistry in Education

Students of this study programme become familiar with principles of nomenclature related to inorganic and organic substances. They understand the periodic table of the elements and can interpret the laws resulting from its arrangement. Students learn how to specify the properties of substances, describe chemical processes and carry out chemical analyses.

What will I learn

In the course of study, students gain in-depth knowledge of all areas of chemistry, such as general theory, inorganic, organic, analytical, and physical chemistry and biochemistry. As a part of study, they learn how to apply the required skills and knowledge in a chemistry laboratory. Moreover, students focus on educational and psychological topics.

After graduation, students have the possibility of continuing their studies in the Master’s degree programme Teacher Training in Chemistry for Elementary or Secondary School. However, they can choose other study programmes focused on chemistry. Moreover, they can find employment in chemistry laboratories or in companies and organizations focused on environmental protection.
