Upper Secondary School Teacher Training in History

Students of this programme understand the issues of the Czech and the world history. The focus is especially on the subject-didactic issues, students are introduced to specific teaching methods and educational programmes.

In the course of study, students participate in theoretical courses, focused primarily on Czech and general history, but also on auxiliary historical sciences, historiography or regional history.Subjects focused on subject didactics and pedagogical-psychological propaedeutics are included in the study plan. The programme includes teaching practice too.

Graduates find employment mainly as teachers of history at high schools.
