Social safety

Have you been a victim of sexual or gender-based violence, intimidation, aggression, bullying or discrimination? Do you need help? You have several options:

Contact your lecturer, supervisor or work supervisor if you are a student
Discuss the situation with your supervisor or manager if you are employed at UWB
If you do not get help from them or if there are reasons why it is not possible to contact them, contact the UWB Ombudsman.
If you suspect that a violation of the Code of Ethics has occurred, you may contact the UWB Ethics Committee directly.
If you need psychological help, you can use the services of the Information and Counselling Centre of the University of UWB.

Safety at the University

Are you worried about your safety? Have you witnessed or even been a victim of an act that makes you fearful? Are you unsure whether you should ask the police for help? Do you need to address fire or workplace safety issues? You have several options:

  • Contact your lecturer, supervisor or work supervisor if you are a student.
  • Discuss the situation with your supervisor or manager if you are employed at UWB.
  • If you do not get help from them or if there are reasons why it is not possible to contact these persons, contact the Safety Department by email bezpeci@rek.zcu.cz, by phone or in person.

COUNSELLING SERVICES

Do you need advice or support in a situation that may affect your studies? Contact the Information and Counselling Centre of UWB.

  •  You’ll find contact details and all the essential information on the Student Questions website
  • Counselling is available in the areas of psychological, social, academic, career, legal, and socio-economic support, including for students with specific needs.
  • Make sure to check the information about tuition fees and social or accommodation scholarships in time.
  • The Information and Counselling Centre manages the Kulturka co-working centre and the student lounge B-Room.
  • Don’t hesitate to ask for advice—or just to ask a question.

The services of the Information and Counselling Centre are available to everyone: in person during consultation hours, online via chat. You can also send your questions by email or through social media.
