Mathematics and its Applications
Description
This study programme is designed for students interested in a broader theoretical mathematical background interconnected with practical application areas (mainly with natural and technical sciences). The aim of this study programme is to provide students with thorough mathematical knowledge and skills which enable them to understand basic mathematical disciplines and methods of modern mathematics. More detailed information and instructions for submitting an application form are available on the Faculty's website section Admissions
What will I learn
Students learn how to read mathematical text, actively use correct methods for solving mathematical problems and construct elementary evidence in abstract mathematical systems. Moreover, they acquire the ability to formulate, analyse and solve real-world problems from science, economics and technology by using various software.
Career
The study programme is primarily intended to prepare students for a follow-up Master’s degree in mathematics, as well as to provide them with necessary knowledge to find employment easily. Students use the acquired skills to solve mathematically formulated engineering, scientific, economic, medical, or even social problems.
