Dynamics of Structures and Mechatronics

Back

Description

This study programme is aimed at students interested in mathematics, applied mechanics, dynamics of structures and mechatronics. It focuses on discrete mechanics, continuum mechanics, mathematical theories of vibration, statistical mechanics and control and system theories.

What will I learn

Graduates gain deep knowledge of continuum dynamics, and discrete passive and active-controlled mechanical systems, as well as of lifetime and reliability engineering. In addition to theoretical knowledge, students get insight into numerical and computational methods and algorithms for simulating the behaviour of various systems. Moreover, they learn how to use programming techniques and professional software. Graduates will have in-depth understanding of experimental dynamics and measuring methods which enable them to verify newly developed methods.

Career

Graduates find employment in computing laboratories and in research and development of a technical and non-technical nature. Moreover, they can work for computing or engineering departments of industrial companies.
